Anne E Stewart | Storytelling journey
Anne E Stewart is an award-winning spoken word artist and has been telling stories for over forty years. She works with any age group to develop a love of language and literature, promote cultural understanding and help others give voice to their own unique stories.
Anne has been a storytelling guest throughout Australia, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Colombia, America, Iran and East Timor.

A versatile storyteller with the energy and voice to engage any audience, Anne can perform stories from her own repertoire or customise a program to match the age group and interest level of the listener. She has told stories in schools, libraries, museums and art galleries and has also performed in community halls, along with running a regular 'Story Slam' event at her local pub for three years.
Early days ... Darwin circa 1983
Anne has collaborated with major cultural institutions in Australia, including QAGOMA, the National Museum of Australia and the Ballarat Art Gallery. She creates and devises stories to accompany artefacts, artworks, paintings and other important cultural items. She chronicles history as evidenced in her radio series for ABC about the Eureka uprising and has appeared on several television programs including the ground breaking children’s program 'Lift Off'.
Anne has honed her skills with many impromptu performances and is known as a passionate and engaging Storyteller, Performer, Keynote Speaker and a consummate Master of Ceremonies for any occasion.
New to Queensland, Anne is working on several local stories to add to her repertoire.
